Grotta del Sole Italia S.p.A., data controller (hereafter “Grotta del Sole”), in adherence to Italian regulations, specifically art. 13 of Privacy Code (D.lgs. 196/2003) wishes to provide you with information regarding the processing of data supplied by you or gathered during your visit to our site (hereafter, ‘Site’).
General information regarding data collection
Apart from exceptions specified below, data processed by Grotta del Sole are exclusively those provided willingly by you. In these cases, Grotta del Sole shall collect information regarding you, for example, name, surname, email, etc., which will be forwarded to our centre in order to respond to your request.
Personal details provided optionally by users requesting information (newsletter, information requests, catalogues, etc.) will be used by Grotta del Sole solely for the purposes of providing facilities or services requested. Though the supply of data is optional, failure to provide information may make it impossible to fulfil the user’s request.
Data processing is carried out by both our own specialised staff at Grotta del Sole and external parties, if necessary deemed data processor, to which any data processing is entrusted including maintenance of electronic tools according to rules set down in the Technical Regulations, annex B of the Privacy Code. In this case appropriate safety measures are put in place to safeguard against the loss, illicit or incorrect use of data as well as access by non-authorised parties.
Your details will be processed to satisfy your requests and manage the relationship you wish to establish with Grotta del Sole or an existing relationship with Grotta del Sole, or to fulfil our obligations towards the law, EU regulations and norms as well as judicial orders. To this regard we should like to stress that Grotta del Sole does not collect data from its site which may be considered sensitive, such as, for example, details regarding race, ethnic background, religious or philosophical beliefs, political opinion, affiliation to political parties, trade unions, religious, political, philosophical associations or organisations, or any details which may indicate health status or sexual activity. According to Privacy Code regulations, the acquisition of this kind of information may only occur with prior written consent. Since the acquisition of written consent is not possible across the Internet we would urge you not to provide us with details of a sensitive nature.
Should you give your permission, your details may be used to allow us to provide you, also by email, with information, and to update you on products and services which meet your needs and demands with regular newsletters, catalogues and brochures or invitations to events.
The supplying of personal details is optional. However, we should like to stress that regarding the purposes set out above, refusal to provide this information may make it impossible for Grotta del Sole to provide you with information and services requested.
Furthermore, Grotta del Sole may also gather anonymous or temporary data. This information will be processed in order to improve our service with statistical analysis, market research or website development.
Your details will be processed electronically or automatically or manually, strictly bound to the purpose for which this information is gathered and with a safety guarantee.
Communication of personal details
Information acquired, should it be necessary for carrying out the purposes indicated, may be communicated to (a) companies belonging to our holding, (b) persons, companies, associations or private practices assisting Grotta del Sole or acting in a consultancy capacity; (c) companies, organisations, associations which provide services connected to or necessary for the carrying out of the purposes outlined above (e.g. carriers for the delivery of catalogues, our sales points, etc.)
Your personal details may also be supplied to other parties collaborating with Grotta del Sole. Those parties will act as independent data processors responsible for the processing of data and will carry out their activities on our behalf adhering completely to the Privacy Code.
No personal details will be distributed.
Exercising right to access, former Article 7
We should like to remind you that may, at any time, exercise your right according to Article 7 of the Privacy Code. You may, for example, seek confirmation as to the details we may have regarding you, see those details, request that they be updated, rectified or supplemented and, should legal grounds apply, that they be cancelled or frozen should the law be infringed. You may also, at any time, request that your details be no longer processed for marketing purposes in the event that you previously gave your consent.
